Our Quality Measures for Your Quality Outcomes

Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) has been a leader in home health since 1891. Why? We continuously study the quality of our home health services by measuring our patients' health outcomes. VNA experts analyze these results closely every quarter to determine opportunities for improvement. From there, we develop strategies to implement in the field so we can better serve our patients.

We also measure patient satisfaction to help meet and exceed our goals in the patient experiences we provide. According to recent surveys:

• 97% of our patients say their needs were met by VNA staff, including helpful education and instruction regarding their health conditions. *
• 98% of our patients say they would choose VNA again. *
• 99% of our patients feel they were treated with respect by their VNA home health care providers. *

VNA is proud of the annual findings by Medicare.gov:

• VNA ranks better than Missouri, Kansas and the U.S. national average for preventing unplanned hospital stays.

• VNA scored higher than Missouri, Kansas and U.S. national averages in all measured aspects of managing daily activities.

• VNA ranked higher than both Missouri and Kansas for the number of patients who experienced improvements in breathing while under home health care.

Additionally, VNA has appeared on the annual HomeCare Elite™ list every year since it was first published in 2005. Created by OCS Homecare and DecisionHealth, HomeCare Elite names the most successful home health agencies in the U.S. in terms of quality of care, quality improvement and financial performance.
